The British Library is now recruiting for a Lead Curator of East Asian Collections to develop, manage, promote and make accessible the Library’s collections in Japanese and Korean and to lead the associated staff at the British Library.
The National Institute of Japanese Literature (NIJL) and the European Association of Japanese Resource Specialists (EAJRS) are pleased to invite you to the third Kotenseki Seminar.
This year, we will explore Japanese publishing and distribution from the late Edo to the early Shōwa.
Our speaker will discuss how Japan’s publishing industry and culture evolved following the opening of the country.
The seminar will be delivered in Japanese, without interpretation.

The Department of Art History at the University of Zurich (UZH) invites applications for a full-time, tenured Lecturer position in Digital Methods for the Study of Visual Cultural Data. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development across several departments—Art History, Film Studies, Archaeology, Media and Communication, and Educational Sciences— by advancing teaching and research that integrate the study of global visual cultures (past and present) with computational methods and critical approaches to digital tools and artifacts.
